Reminder all students and at least one parent/guardian must attend the MANDATORY trip meeting on WEDNESDAY APRIL 4th to be allowed to go on the band trip to Florida. No student will be permitted to go unless they and at least one parent/guardian attends this trip meeting to understand all rules of the trip.
Congratulations to the Wind Ensemble on an outstanding performance at Severance Hall this weekend. It was a very musical performance and a great thrill to be able to perform on that stage!
If anyone would like a CD of the performance that was professionally recorded, CD order forms will be still accepted and taken through WEDNESDAY. Turn in an order form and check made payable to Cleveland Institute of Music by WEDNESDAY.
If anyone would like a picture of you performing at Severance Hall, professional photographs of both the group and individual shots have been taken by Clifford Norton Studios. Go to www.cliffordnorton.com/music to view and order these photographs. These will be available online on Friday, February 3.
Congratulations to all the students who participated in Solo & Ensemble Contest this past weekend at Tri-C. Great job everyone!
If any student wants a medal from this past weekend, see Mr. Vitale and sign up for a medal. Medals are $3 each - turn in money for this when you sign up, and we will place an order. Medal orders will be taken through Friday of this week.
This is last call for all students to sign up for a room. The room list must be finalized Monday and Tuesday. Anyone who hasn't sign up for a room yet MUST DO SO or you will be assigned to a room.
Bus Sign ups will be in the month of Feburary.
A TENTATIVE itinerary has been posted under the trip section. This is SUBJECT TO CHANGE if Disney changes our performance day/time/venue.

Reminder for all parents, family, neighbors, and alumni to please attend the Band Boosters Reverse Raffle on Saturday February 11. Jazz Band II and I will be performing and it is a fun evening of food, music, and prizes! Please help support one of our biggest fundraisers of the year!
Reminder that Wind Ensemble will be having an extended rehearsal on Thursday 1:30-3:30 and there will be no Jazz Band on Friday in preparation for S&E Contest on Saturday.
All S&E participants should have received a schedule and list of reminders. Remember to review all scale requirements, have an original judges score with all numbers measured, and arrive to the site with enough time to find your performance room and warm up room.
Reminder all FB, CB, SB Percussionists will be having their sectionals with Dylan and on Tuesday nights 1/24; 2/7; 2/14; 2/21.

Reminder: that WE members should be DROPPED OFF in the back parking lot on the Sunday of Severance Hall - all doors will be locked except the double doors leading straight into the band room. Since there is NO BUS RETURNING back from Severance Hall - NO STUDENT should leave a vehicle in the school parking lot. Get dropped off, then go home with your parent immediately following the Severance Hall Performance. Everyone needs to bring their instrument back to school the next day for rehearsal.
Florida Bus Sign Ups will begin in February.
Good luck to those band members participating in the OSU, Kent State, and BGSU Honors Bands in the next few weeks! We are proud to have you representing North Royalton!
Florida Trip Room Sign Ups will begin next week following this schedule:
Tuesday 1/17 at 1:00PM - Seniors
Wednesday 1/18 at 1:30PM - Juniors
Thursday at 1/19 1:30PM - Sophomores
Monday/Tuesday 1/23-24 - after Freshman Band - Freshman
Students may sign up in groups of 4, 5, or 6 students in a suite. To sign up for a room, ALL STUDENTS in a room must be paid in full. If some members in the room are paid and some are not - the room will not be able to sign in. There will be NO partial room sign ups. EVERY student in the room must be present and SIGN THEIR OWN NAME because there will be NO room changes so students should think carefully before signing up.
Car Raffle tickets are NOW DUE. All students should return their money or unsold car raffle tickets THIS WEEK. Any student who doesn't turn in their money or unsold car raffle tickets THIS WEEK will receive an incomplete on their midterm until we have all the tickets/money accounted for.
Students are encouraged to study for the written midterm exam with the study guide found online.
Tickets are still available for Severance Hall - students and families should continue to publicize and encourage friends and family to attend this once in a lifetime concert.
