Dear Parents, Friends and Alumni,
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the Marching Band Season means something for everyone - the start of a new
school year, great halftime shows, parent teacher night, new freshmen students and parents to meet, and the start of
lasting friendships. Plenty of fun and memorable moments!
Now the fun begins as we watch at each halftime how the show is progressing. It really is a different show every week
as things are added and the kids become more confident. First the football show and then the added excitement of the
contest show. Come see your favorite bando performing on the field with their classmates. Support the school, the
community and the band by being at every football game and competition performance. Help continue the legacy by
supporting Mr. Vitale and his team of directors by wearing your spirit wear. Come cheer and fill the stands with band
parents, friends and alumni. Cheer as one for the purple and gold Marching Bears. Please remember the do’s and don’ts
of being a good band fan. Let’s set the example!
If you haven’t already joined us, you still have time to become a Band Booster. We welcome all. For just $20 you can
become a member. We will continue to take memberships until December 31, 2010. You still have time to join.
The month of September is filled with many events:
Friday night football games – with our concession and 50/50 raffle committees hard at work for home games and our
chaperones helping out with away games and of course we can’t forget our uniform committee and pit crew that
help out at every game!
Cleveland Air Show fundraiser over the Labor Day weekend
Market Day kick off orders are due by September 4th
Entertainment Book Blitz fundraiser
Parma Band Festival on Saturday, September 25th
Band Booster meeting on September 27th at 7pm
